Notes from the designer :
'Huarache' is the name of the traditional vernacular sandal used all over Mexico for hundreds of years. What I've done is updated this style by adding new materials like lambskin and other pelts that wouldn't customarily be used into the traditional context. We are a small artisan business that promotes hand-made processes and family traditions in the southern sierra of Oaxaca, we work with family owned and operated workshops in Ejutla and Miahuatlan in Oaxaca, Mexico. Helping keep this trade alive and supporting small, local business. Huaraches are produced in small batches, usually no more than two or three pelts at the time, all pelts are of Mexican origin and sourced locally. Each Huarache is cut, assembled and sewn by hand. Due to their artisanal nature, variances may occur and no pair is alike. Huaraches celebrates these distinctions making every pair unique
